Pending: SS Dixieland bingo in NC ($60 "project")
For sale Thought I would have time for this project, but I don't and it's taking up quite a bit of room in my kitchen.
Selling it either as a $60 project, or the cabinet for free.
This is a solid state Dixieland bingo, not sure what
manufacturer (doesn't actually say Bally or Dixieland anywhere, but it's
obviously Dixieland). Probably late 70s?
The game boots up, takes credits, and lets you start a game. It doesn't score when you light X in a row, it just lets you
start another game without awarding credits as if the game wasn't over. Also,
the stepper that controls how many credits you're
playing sometimes seems to reset instead of adding a credit. A few of the
number hole switches don't work but that's probably
easy stuff. The game has a new switching power supply I put in. The game has
glass, it's just not in the pics.
I would part out the machine, hang the playfield on my wall, and give away the
empty cabinet if anyone is interested in that. If you want just the cabinet for
free, you're more than welcome to it, let me know how much needs to remain in tact to make the deal :). No
stairs, I can easily have this waiting for you in the driveway and help load.
Will be parted and headed to the dump by the end of the month if no one wants
it.

Ball lift motor
constantly running: Switch adjustment of the switch next to the lift arm, was
staying closed when it shouldn't.
Playfield numbers not working: Just firmly reseated the jones plugs on the back
of the game.
Credits played stepper intermittently resetting: The gate was physically
slightly bent (probably due to someone improperly lifting the playfield) making
it a little "sticky". This caused the switch that controls the
"PLAY RE4" relay to occasionally stay closed when it shouldn't be. If you play an additional credit while this
switch is closed, the play relay might trip and cause the stepper to reset. I
bent the gate back, adjusted the switch, cleaned/lubed the stepper a bit and it
is good to go.
Since there is not a lot of information posted on the
Bingos, I will go ahead and leave this page here`
Sounds like the machine sold to a person in Johnson City,
Tennessee
Clearly
this is a 1st-generation upgrade`
