This is the first installment of what I will refer to as the Bingos Basics`

Phil’s site is absolutely great at laying out the story of how the Bingos operate ~ You want to know, it’s there`

Here, I will first go through the schematics with you and then tie to two together – An overview`

So let’s start with the power rails that operate everything in the Bingo`

All of the modules, replays, and motors are powered by a few voltage buses ~ everything ~ and on most of the schematics

they are shown by sets of heavy, thicker, lines you see bordering the top-and-bottom of each section of circuits

This makes the rails pretty easy to see and identify, and really help provide a starting-point to understand

the machines ~ Why there is a main transformer, a set of fuses, relay banks - etc`

Dixieland is one such example, where the “bold lines” that indentify the power rails really stand out`

Here is another view of the 50-volt circuitry that is powered by (bracketed by) the 50-volt power lines`

Also known as …the “negative” and “positive” rails

Also known as …the “-“ and “+” rails

…the 50-volt Bus

Now most of the United Bingos are a little different, they do not step-down the input voltage`

They run off the +110 VAC  as is”  straight out of your wall socket`

One of the reasons they are so noisy`
