Hi Danny. I have tried a couple items for a red letter game. Both are from pinballlife.com. They are red bulb covers. There is a thick and thin version. They both fit over a #55 bulb and are stretched a bit but didn't tear. I found the thin cover gives a much deeper and bright red but doesn't cover the full letter. It fades out quite fast from the cone of brightness. Next was the thick cover. It is a much softer brightness but diffused much better giving full coverage of the letter. They are only 35 cents each so give them both a try and see what looks best on your game. The photos don't really show it great but you can see the diffused light difference.
