Bingo Pinballs

Well, the Troll
started writing me about these Bingo Pinballs in 2011, hoping I would help
straighten out the story`
My pages, Phil’s,
and the IPDB were all different and none of were correct`…I may be close, but
there are still some holes`
It took me a while
to realize that there are at least (3) models of this thing`
I have made some
guesses, and this is another attempt to help complete the story`
As of this date:
The IPDB and Phil’s site both list (2) models and have slightly different
detail`
So, our coverage
of this thing is still kind of a mess – Here are my (3) links`
Miss Americana Triple Bonus (UC)
Miss Americana Triple Bonus (LC)
I also kept this
old page intact, because I wanted to point out a serial number and the two different cabinets
we see, but now I
also want to share an email from our friend Coy too`
Here in 2022
Gerald wrote in on these after he noticed Phil and my pages are both
incomplete/incorrect`

Miss Americana
the backglasses BG1
and BG2 are the same. This is not the glass for Miss Americana (the magic lines
are not at the same place on the machine, BG1 and BG2 are glasses for Miss
Americana Triple Bonus and could be from 1984)
see the manual or
the press image for the correct one (original) that was supplied with the
machine !!!
Also, the machine
date on your page is 1984, this is false, Miss Americana prototypes were made
in 1977 (as described in the manual), also, diagrams in the manual shows
1979... so for me, 1979 or 1980 is the correct date (but definitely not 1984
far too late)
The manual showed a
name : J.C. Franck Technical Director in SIRMO S.A.
J.C. Franck will be
"stolen" later by Willy Michiels, J.C. Franck was the engineer who
made most of the bingo machines, in WIMI's ! That's why there are so much
similarities between Sirmo's and Wimi's machines !
Enjoy

A few interesting
comments – Nice`
Yes`…the two pictures on Phil’s page for his
Miss American are the same game, because he only shows one of the Bingos
He shows a second
game and titles it Miss Americana Triple Bonus`…when in fact both games he
shows are Triple Bonus games`
The manual shows
the actual (original) Miss America s Coy points out`
Hence, why I have
(3) links for this game and title them the way I do`
Also interesting
is Coy’s reference to prototypes coming out in 1977
Bally was still
building new machines though 1980, so there was an early start in Belgium
And that also kind
of explains why there is a Bally-style cabinet on some of the Bingos
And Bally style
serial numbering`…likely Bally supplied the initial cabinets`
I believe this top cabinet is 1st-generation
and the oak cabinets below, second-generation`
These were one of the first Belgium
Bingos and I think Bally provided some of the early materials`
When Coy saw these images, he
emailed me a second time, this time about the playfield`

Spotting differences
Older
machines have a complete wood playfield, while newer have a aluminum type
playfields
(not
all the playfield but the place where the ball roll was made in aluminum...
nice but fragile !)
Wood
playfield were probably leftovers from Miss Americana (they are identical)
You can
see it also on some other pictures...

Today I looked for a few photos
to help clarify`…Now this is guesswork`
I think this is one of the
aluminum playfield Gerald mentions`…check out the Shooter Lane
This next photo, an all-wooden
playfield`
Yes`…our good-friend Coy has
been around`
_ Very Cool _
Once we get a few
more photo of the lower case Triple Bonus
I will separate out
this webpage`
Apparently, the easy
way to tell these apart ~ I like this work`
Gerald also teases
us with some data on the designers – Very Cool
Thanks Brother
