Bingo Pinballs

In 1971 Bally switched over to a new 6-Card format for the Bingos and over the next 3-years

they released the machines many of us referred to as “The Wall Street” Bingos

I wanted to post this picture for a couple of reasons: First it’s cool having all three of the games together, but more importantly it reminded me just how few pictures of these bingos do we really have _ So please, if you have a Wall Street or any of these games _ Please send in a set of photos, including some pictures of the Internals.

It’s interesting that Bally chose to release a group of bingos all having a common-group-theme _ I know the earlier games kind of did with their scantly-clad-lovelys, but they still did a pretty good job of changing up the bingos by giving them completely different names, different paint jobs, and hosts of new features. The games got a bit redundant during the 20-hole years, but even most of the Mystic Games had distinct looks.

Bally went public (were listed on the stock exchange) in 68’ and released their last 20-hole games Super 7 and Bonus 7 in 69’ before stepping right into this family of bingos _ It’s true that the two 7-Games look quite a bit like each other, but that was likely due to the bingo-division winding down, which is likely the main reason these Wall Street games were basically clones of one another, but……

……at the end I still think Bally was working hard to clean up their image while hanging on to this business while it still made a little sense. During this same period they really were moving on, records show that they started buying a number of other gaming companies, started moving their design work to standard-pinball only, and started to move most all of their energy and focus over toward the slot industry.

Hmmm! _ The move towards Wall Street _ Truly the Beginning-of-the-End

Hi, no the bingo Twist on your page is not mine but I got as close to that as there is :) . The problem with the twist is you CAN play a fully loaded (all the bells and whistles) game every time . No "chance of a random game . My mystic Gate you could only play 40 credits coin or replays, you get a different game every time. Just more challenge! The Bounty information is from Jiffs book only sold outside the USA. I cannot attest to that but I can only hope he is wrong, I could get one easier LOL. I cant wait to get my Show time going . Its killing me to just look at it. I found a recourse that gives a register of bingo owners and fixers. I must have e-mailed 50 PPL this week trying to find a restorer. Just one back but another contact! My daughter is coming this weekend and I will have her take some high res pictures (she is a professional photo gal) of the games and the paperwork. she has a account with photo bucket , I will load them there and you can pick what you want from the web. Now go find me a Bounty :) LOL just kidding. john

hi John - you're like me, play em till they break, laugh...... that's why i have bought all the ones i have, for sure - please check out my twist link: http://danny.cdyn.com/twist2.htm  _  Is that boxed bingo near the bottom yours? man what a pretty game......

now in your first email, you mentioned something about "coin rolls" that you got with the twist - what are those?

it would be great to get some pictures of them, and yes, i would love to have some pictures of your ticker tape too please, now on bounty, you mention that "this game wasn't sold in the u.s." - are you talking about your specific machine or are you talking about all of the bountys?

if you are talking about all of them, how do you know that these bingos were not sold here in the states?

    well, all for now.........

Danny, thanks for getting back , I'm in Texas just south of Dallas, Midlothian. I'm a player not a fixer lol. I played my Mystic gate for hours a day until it broke .Had to switch to my Twist, its NEW! had 32 games on it when I got it! now several thousand LOL. I will take pics of the WALL STREET set I have inside and out for you if you like?  and this twist too. I am looking for a cigarette holder that screwed on top of the side rails on the wood machines, there was one on both sides. In Jeff Lawton's book Bally on page 35 there is an example on a machine in the picture front. man I'd sure like to pick up two of those. I e-mailed Jeff and he gave me a few clues to try to find them . My show Time doesn't work, but I have a repair guy coming from Colorado to look at it. I really want to restore it but must make sure it is restorable. I also have a couple of parts machines so I hope they will help in the parts area. If I sell the wall street set, and by the way BORING, except for my kids they love them, I want to get a bounty. Its the game I grew up on in Arizona. it wasn't sold in the USA but in Canada it was. a bartender of the bar I grew up around came from Canada and brought it to Arizona , there were several other places that had the bingos like the local pool hall and such . but that was always my favorite. I have found a place in Tennessee that has 120 of these bingos in a warehouse. I have a meeting with them in July (the only time this guy is in town) so I hope I find one there or two or three ... LOL      but I plan on buying all he has in bingos. I will get back to you and let you know how it turns out. good to talk to someone who knows these things, keep up the good work on the site  john

hey john - nice to hear from you - i am glad you like the site - it's always nice to hear that someone is actually reading all of this stuff, laugh - i would sure like to know more about the "coin rolls" - maybe a few pictures please - this is the first i have ever heard of these? - what part of the country are you in? - it helps when looking for a new game - as you know, shipping these is a bit tough and expensive...... 6 bingos, a nice collection, i bet you have had lots of fun - it's nice to switch up games though and rotate them when you get a chance - i just got a surf club late last year and it's awesome - broken and pays out really crazily, but still fun as hell and fixable.....

        let's keep in touch,
