There is definitely some cool artwork in the playingfields!

Although this page is dedicated to the special playingfield holes, I threw in a couple of “Top Arches” and other goodies.

The Ballyhole, hole #16, always did something special like award an “extra ball” or “light up the magic squares” on the machines. This feature first appeared on the bingos in 1955 on Bally’s Broadway, the first of the magic Square games, and if you dropped a ball through it when this feature was energized – You would get your 1st Extra Ball. A small lighted window in the upper right hand corner of the backglass noted this special. All of the Magic Square games other than Double-Header and Cape May had this feature.

Pretty cool, a free ball without having to deposit any more coins!
