On
the BingoButch forum, Cayt
Pea has been filling in some of the blanks on the Bingos from Japan
And
what’s really Cool he pointed us to a little picture
of the game “Avenue” from Sigma
Not
a lot of detail, it is small and obviously part of an advertisement, but it
does help show the technology`
And
helps explain something I missed, not having anything to work with before`
Prior
to having this photo, the only reference to Avenue I had was from Wikipedia
Japan under IC Bingo
http://danny.cdyn.com/sigma%20medal%20games%20wiki.htm
また、ビンゴカードやマジックスクリーンをモニターで表現した『CRTビンゴ』も生産されている。 白と青の筐体カラーとなり、効果音がPSGよりFM音源になった。
AVENUE
SEA ISLAND '89
Yeah,
even translated, not much to work with`…laugh`
But
now it’s easy to see that these two games would have used CRT monitors verses
the electro-mechanical bingo cards we are
so
use to - A next-generation change up from the Magic Screen games from Sigma
that basically copied tech from Bally
We
also get a hard date on Avenue of 1987 and reference that a Sea Island would
have been released in 1989
I doubt that either game was ever
released`…for sure, never sold in volume`
Too bad the Bingos also died early
in Japan`…who knows what bad-ass machines we would have seen come out`

Thanks Cayt – Very Cool _
