Mr. Jeffery Lawton

Jeffrey Lawton has a wonderful legacy with these games and is well known throughout the Pinball Community as Dr. Bingo or

The Bingo Doctor with years of history helping bingo enthusiasts as well as anyone working on any pinball.

The Internet does not contain much information about Mr. Lawton and I do not know him well myself, so I will take the liberty of

sharing the Preface on his Bally Bingo Pinball book to help introduce him:

"Jeffrey Lawton has been working on pinball machines of all sorts since the late 1950s. His first two pinball games, which he got at 17, were College Daze (Gottlieb flipper) and Yacht Club (Bally Bingo). For 29 years, Jeffrey worked as a middle manager for AT&T and then in 1994, he left AT&T, to spend some time doing what he loves most - collecting, restoring, repairing, and, occasionally, selling pinball machines."

"Funny - You work on pinballs as a young boy, take 29 years off, and go right back into pinballs"

"Jeffrey is married to his lovely wife Carol, and has three grown children and one new grandson (born 1-4-99)."

"Currently, he writes articles for GameRoom Magazine as The Bingo Doctor and is the Bingo Editor for PinGame Journal, a publication that provides numerous articles and support to readers who have bingo game questions and/or problems." "Jeffrey has made a good many friendships while enjoying the pinball hobby and has had the chance to learn from many great pinball technicians. This book and the knowledge it contains are his way f saying thanks to all those you have helped him throughout his career."

How Cool is that!

Over the years I have talked to Jeff on the phone once, exchanged several emails with him, and was on his email Christmas card mailing list until I moved (lol) and he has always been a nice man, always been very helpful, and always offered his help and services going forward`

You will see me reference him on many pages he has influenced`

 The Doctor Does Nice Work:

In June of 2009 ebay listed this VINTAGE DOUBLE HEADER that was made in 1956 and is in wonderful condition. These Double Header Bingos were 2 GAMES IN 1 - BOTH GAMES DIFFERENT AND THAT YOU CAN PLAY 1 AT A TIME OR BOTH TOGETHER.

Part of the description was "GAME IS IN VERY GOOD WORKING ORDER - EVERYTHING WORKS.  GAME HAS BEEN GONE OVER AND REPAIRED BY JEFFERY LAWTON ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO."
