When working on and buying one of the early games from Belgium

You need to be really careful, because some Error Codes are almost impossible to fix`

If you do not have an “electronic key” and/or a “keypad/control box” – You are in trouble`

The very early Sirmo, GAA, and Wimi machines all have this issue`

Here is a typical “sales ad” involving a G.A.A. Moulin Rouge

De Moulin Rouge is een elektronische bingokast.

Heeft met flipperen niks te maken.

Bingo is gokken, flipperen is behendigheid!

Ik heb hem gekocht omdat ik benieuwd was hoe zo'n kast eruit zag, welke techniek er in zit en of hij zou spelen.

Om te beginnen met het laatste: nee dus.

Deze kasten worden nog veel gebruikt in België. De fabrikant zit daar ook.

De elektronica (programma's) is beschermd met codes. Als je die niet hebt, kun je niks met de kast.

En, van de fabrikant krijg je de codes absoluut niet.

Hij kan dus alleen nog gesloopt worden.

Of. (en dat is mijn ideetje.........), in deze kast met elektromechanische onderdelen een deel van het spel nabouwen.

Dat zal dan betekenen dat er slechts een paar functies in komen, het spel wordt dan heel eenvoudig.

Om dat te maken zou nog een hele klus zijn.

Dus misschien toch maar gewoon slopen.

Dat neemt niet weg dat het er allemaal mooi uitziet en dat de techniek indrukwekkend is.

Met allemaal leuke motortjes en zo. En een heel mooi speelveld!

The seller wanted to say that if you don't have "special electronic key",
the bingo will go in code and stay like this forever... because
manufacturer will not sell "you" the electronic key !

So, for him, this is a nice project but not working and be aware... this
is all that you can do with the machine !

Side note, GAA made also "French CanCan" (conversion  was possible
between french cancan and moulin rouge)
